Built between the 14th and the 15th century, this church was rebuilt
from scratch in the 19th century. It is situated right in the middle of
Barcut village, 8 km away form Soars and 85 km away from Brasov. The
church’s strength comes from the combined baroque elements with the
neoclassical ones.
One particularity of this church, like in the one from Selistat, is the
existence of a fountain exactly inside the church. The fountain can be
seen on the seccond row of images below, in the middle. The water is
very near to the surface, less than 1 metre if there is no draught.
In the images, you can also see the flag of the village on one side and
on the other side one can see the bicefal eagle of the Habsburgs.
